Grace Abundance Africa Ministry

What We Do

Feeding Bodies, Healing Hearts, Building Futures

In the bustling towns and remote villages of Kenya, the work of Grace Abundance Africa Ministry shines like a beacon of hope. Led by Pastors John and Esther, this grassroots ministry has become a lifeline to some of East Africa’s most vulnerable populations — from street orphans in Eldoret to widows in Nanyuki and even children with disabilities in Liki Special School.

The ministry’s days are full and varied, reflecting the sheer scale of need. One week may bring them to the gates of a boarding school for handicapped children, where they share encouragement, prayer, and practical support. Another day finds them shoulder-to-shoulder with church families, packing food parcels for widows, single mothers, and starving households — people who often give out of their own poverty to bless someone with even less.

Music and joy are never far away. During a visit to a Maasai church, Pastors John and Esther were swept into traditional tribal dancing. “You blended with so much love,” one local pastor told them, “please come back again and again.” Their ministry is not only about providing bread and clothing, but also about fellowship, cultural exchange, and reminding people of their immeasurable worth in God’s eyes.

Special services also mark their journey. On International Women’s Day, every widow and struggling mother in one congregation received life-sustaining packages. Grace Abundance is also connected to an orphanage in Burundi called The Healing Center Orphanage where the immediate needs are stark: malaria medicine, clean water, and clothing. On the streets of Nanyuki, John and Esther fed and counseled teenagers teetering on the edge of criminal activity — young men whose hunger might otherwise drive them to desperate acts.
Back in Eldoret, their home base, the ministry regularly feeds hundreds of homeless orphans and street families. They collect and distribute used clothing, stretch limited funds to buy food, and minister to children who have nowhere else to turn. “It is heartbreaking that we cannot do more,” Pastor John admits, “but every meal shared is a reminder of God’s love.”

Yet Grace Abundance Africa is not content to stop at temporary relief. Their long-term vision is as ambitious as it is urgent: the creation of a vocational boarding school for street children. This facility would provide not only shelter and daily care, but also education and hands-on training in trades like farming, mechanics, and carpentry — equipping a generation with skills to build brighter futures.

Every act of giving, every shared meal, and every sermon preached is rooted in the ministry’s guiding scripture: “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me” (Luke 9:48).

For John and Esther, the work is not simply humanitarian; it is holy.

In a world where hunger and hardship can feel overwhelming,
Grace Abundance Africa Ministry reminds us that even with hands too empty,
hearts full of love can transform lives
